Camera advice, Personal advice, easy best answer?

Right so i'm thinking between two cameras at the moment either a Fujifilm J38 12MP or a Samsung ES17 12MP. i only have 100£ so which is better or do you have one that is cheap and good.

MAINLY WANTING GOOD ZOOM AND MP

MP is only the picture size, MP don't determinate picture quality. For the normal user, a 3 or 5 MP camera is ok.

About zoom: I don't think you can get a camera with more than 5x zoom with 100. Plus when you reach the optical zoom range, and then use the digital zoom, the picture quality will deteriorate.

I never use digital zoom, but only Optical.
12x zoom is more than enough, but they cost more than 100.
i dont own it, but i like these two: [URL Truncated]

Or this Canon: [URL Truncated]

But they cost a lot of more than what you are willing to spend.

The MP is the picture size AND the picture quality. Some take it to extremes but the MP rating really depends on what you will do with your photos. Printing up to 8x10 3MP may be fine. Print 11x17 and you'll want 5MP. Crop your image then print 11x17 and you may want 10MP. If all youre doing is posting low resolution images on websites you don't even need 1MP. I don't know what you'll do with your photos so I cant tell you how many MP you need. Most compact cameras are now 10MP-12MP and that should be fine.

I don't know why people recommend cameras which are way out of an askers specified price range. Ignore those recommendations and stay in a price range you are comfortable with. No one should be telling you how to spend more of your own money.

I cant find any reviews for the Fujifilm J38 but I did find a review for the Samsung ES17. The reviewer wasn't too impressed and recommends the Canon Powershot A480 in this price range. I don't know if they are in your price range where you live. Ive recently learned that cameras which are inexpensive here in the US may not be inexpensive in other countries. Check out the Canon A480 (or its European counterpart). A link to the full ES17 review is below.

I would recommend you
Samsung ES55 Digital Camera 10MP, 3x Optical Zoom 2.5 inch LCD
Digital Image Stabilisation gives you sharper images, even without flash in low light conditions
Face Detection optimises focus and brightness of up to nine faces, for stunning portraits
Blink Detection takes three shots in order to capture the eyes open
