Hey,

That's an SLR Camera and DSLR's (Digital SLRs) work the same, except that they're digital.

I wrote an article on my blog about '(D)SLR Camera', description, what certain parts are and how do you see your image and how you get one. You can read it here - [URL Truncated]

I recommend you to click on the animation on my blog and read other stuff too, you'll be the one with most knowledge in your class then :P. Simply draw a camera like I did and write stuff like I did. Simple ;)

Good luck.

You can also check out a book from the library on basic photography - they'll usually have a schematic/diagram of an SLR with all the parts labelled (all SLRs are basically the same - I'm sure you could figure out any minor differences between models and brands).
