Lenses for Canon 50D?

Hey,

I am planning to buy a Canon 50d soon but I don't know which lenses I should buy.

I was thinking of:
EF 28 f/2.8
EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 IS

or a kitzoomlens like 17-55 or a 18-200mm lens?

I heard a supertelezoom lens is kinda crap.

Im 14 and my budget is about 500-600 euro for lenses. =)

Help me out please.

That is a 800 euro body, by the way. 1000 for the kit.

I generally recommended a super wide, a super tele and a 50 prime.

(I don't shoot Canon so I can't give specific models, However) something like a 10-25, 70-300 and a 50.

You don't need to overlap like 25-70, 42-85, 55-120, 90-150; That is ridiculous. It might look like fun to have every mm covered but after a week the thing you'll be happy to have or sad to have missed is the extra pull or the extra stretch. And yes, superzoom 3-4000 lenses are pretty bad. You can optimize a lens when it's prime or in the middle of a zoom range. 25-50 might see a little trouble at either end. However when you are optimized at 40, and you're shooting at 350, there will be alot of trouble.

If you stay in doubt, then start with just the 17-55mm zoom and see what you else you want after you start shooting.

Then you can add the EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 IS if that is the right fit or something else if needed,

Hope this helps.
