Thanks in advance
Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Autofocus Lens
If you want more wide angle then you would want to go with the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Lens because your camera has the APS sized sensor, so the 17mm so equals about 27mm which is a nice wide angle to have and the 40mm will be equal to about 64mm.
If you where shooting in 35mm film or a full frame sensor (like a Canon 5D II for example) camera then I would get the Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Autofocus Lens.
My 2 cents.
Mark
For general use, both of those lenses are too expensive. Unless you just have a stash of money set aside for ridiculous purchases, don't get either one of them
Your camera probably came with something like a 18-55 which is a perfect general purpose lens.
That would give you a 35mm range of 29mm to 85mm which is good enough for landscapes and some portraits. If you want a longer lens to reach out and touch something, go with one of those, but there is no need to pay out the nose.
